Poisoning Well, 2025

Poisoning Well is a textile montage that draws its aesthetic from memes and trolling. The work is composed of waste elements: found print t-shirts and failed photographs collected by Luoma from the photo albums of her loved ones. Repurposed and rearranged, these random fragments generate meanings that were absent from their original contexts. Beneath the irony lies a sensitivity and behind the machine, there are people. In waste, new connections spark to life. As long as people can connect and make mistakes, there remains space for art to emerge. Poisoning Well has been featured in an exhibition at the Waste Matters conference at the Cable Factory in Helsinki.
